The light resonates with the appropriate molecule(s) and a portion of the light is absorbed. The higher the moisture content, the higher the amount of absorbed light. After calibration, the moisture concentration values can be instantly measured without sample preparation.  Calibrations and calibration points are stored within the analyzers, providing tremendous versatility for the diversified manufacturer. Moisture can be measured in the lab, near line (desktop), and online/inline throughout the manufacturing process, or in field applications with our unique handheld portables.
